Absolute Awesome Family Fun!

Alto Mi. – Looking for something that you can do with the family or even go off and do on your own? Boulder Ridge Wild Animal Park is now open at 8313 Pratt Lake Ave SE, Alto Mi.

I heard some great things about this Park so I decided I had better head over to it and write a story on it. I thought I had better take someone much younger than I to get their opinion also.

On Wednesday, my granddaughter Raegan and I headed to check it out. It is in the middle of nowhere. It started out simply as a farm where exotic animals were raised and then it grew and grew to where they turned it into a Wild Animal Park.

Boulder Ridge WAP has this to say on their page:

“BOULDER RIDGE WILD ANIMAL PARK·FRIDAY, MAY 15, 2020·

We are now open for the 2020 season and can’t wait to show you all of the changes we have made recently! Come on out and have a great time enjoying the Michigan outdoors with your friends and family!

Come experience the Wild! Located on 80 acres of land in Alto, MI; Boulder Ridge Wild Animal Park is a unique, hands-on experience for the entire family.  The park boasts a distinct collection of exotic animals and reptiles, and the variety and dynamic atmosphere make Boulder Ridge anything but your average zoo.  From hand feeding Giraffes to riding on our Safari...You are sure to enjoy your next visit to Boulder Ridge Wild Animal Park!”

It was not packed today but it was busy with lots of moms with children in strollers and little ones. There were many families and I even seen a few older people.

They have hand sanitizer sitting in bottles all over the park and they clean the safari bus between trips.

The animals are very up front and personal. We spent an hour and a half enjoying every minute of it. We did not dawdle but kept moving. If a person wants to relax and just enjoy the Park there are benches through out the Park to sit on.
