Michigan State Trooper Caleb Starr, who worked at the State Police post in Lakeview, passed away from injuries that occurred when he was struck by a drunk driver while on duty on July 10.

Congressman John Moolenaar made the following statement on his passing:

"Trooper Caleb Starr was dedicated to serving our state and protecting our communities as a member of the Michigan State Police at the Lakeview Post. Today, I am praying for his wife, his daughters, and all of his colleagues in law enforcement as they mourn his passing."
