Corunna Mi. – “F You, This is private property, get the F out of here” Lucas Allen OFlynn.

At close to 2 am on April 7, 2020, Lucas Allen Flynn, 39, and his 17-year-old nephew, while both being highly intoxicated, decided to go outside a home on Cass St. in Owosso, and “wrestle around.”

Their hollering could be heard inside of several homes. One neighbor testified in court today that that she called 911. The recording of her call was played in court and one could hear Flynn outside hollering at the top of his lungs.

Owosso Police Officer Ryan Jenkins arrived and could see OFlynn sitting on top of the nephew. At this time OPD Officer Kevin Pettigrew arrived with Corunna Officer Duane Saylor.

The intoxicated OFlynn told the police “F You this private property, get the F out of here.” Jenkins told OFlynn to sit down while he conducted an investigation, OFlynn told Jenkins he was going in the house. A Tussle happened and within seconds OFlynn was on the ground wrestling and kicking Jenkins. Pettigrew jumped on OFlynns chest while Saylor grabbed OFlynn’s feet.

OFlynn told the court that the officers hurt him as he was fighting them. Once OFlynn was cuffed they had to carry him to the police car where he continued to scream kick the officers and bang his head on the window and the door.

The video of his ride to jail was played in court, OFlynn screamed the whole time, and once at the jail he was so uncooperative that he had to be put in a restraining chair.

Today several people that were at the house testified that they were so drunk they were in black out or had no memory of the event. One young man told the court that he finished off a 5th of tequila.

All three officers testified along with the homeowner, the nephew, a person who claimed to have no memory, two neighbors and OFlynn himself.

OFlynn was found guilty of three felony charges of Police Assaulting, Resisting, Obstruction in one of the quickest verdicts ever, only 24 minutes.

This is where it gets interesting. Because he was found guilty OFlynn has no constitutional right to bond. The Defense attorney asked for bond to be continued until sentencing, the prosecutor agreed, OFlynn told the Judge he had 4 kids at home and no one at this time to take care of them. Apparently OFlynn didn’t prepare for being found guilty.

Judge Matthew Stewart told OFlynn that he would continue bond on one condition and that is if OFlynn could pass a drug test. OFlynn then told the Judge he could except that marijuana would show up. Judge Stewart asked OFlynn why he would smoke marijuana when he signed a paper stating he wouldn’t. OFlynn said that he never signed anything like that. The Judge pulled the form out of OFlynn’s file and asked OFlynn if that was his signature. OFlynn said it was but the copy he had at home didn’t say that.

Judge Stewart had enough and told OFlynn that he was going to jail today until sentencing.
