Corunna, Mi – Alex Lee Letts lost his deal that he had with the Prosecutor's Office in his role in the shooting out of a car window at several people. Last August Spencer Ryder and Michae Evans were arrested in the incident where Ryder rolled up to a person's house and Evans shot out the window. Letts was in the vehicle and told Evans to shoot.
After Evans and Ryder were arrested Letts hid out and taunted the police over social media on how they couldn’t find him.
After a couple of weeks hiding out the Michigan State Police Fugitive Taskforce Team apprehended Alex Letts in Lansing.
Letts was charged with possessing contraband in jail as well as assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder.
However, when the day came for sentencing came the jail sent over a stack of jail reports listing Letts’ misdeeds while incarcerated. That sentencing was adjourned to today where Judge Stewart reported that he had received even more reports.
Judge Stewart told Letts that he was not honoring the agreement and instead sent Letts to prison to serve consecutive sentences. Letts will first serve 17 months and only after that time will Letts start serving another 57 to 120 months.
