Corunna, Mi. - Derick Edington, 39, who had been charged with several felonies, including 1st-degree criminal assault and supplying a 14-year-old girl meth, took a deal from the Shiawassee County Prosecutors Office that in exchange for dropping the above-mentioned felonies Eddington would plead to one count of Assault with intent to commit criminal sexual conduct 2nd degree. 

Edington's plea states that he faces 32 months to 60 months in prison with the credit for time served starting in May 2019. 

In front of Judge Matthew Stewart, Edington pled guilty to touching a 14-year-old girl's "butt" with her permission, knowing that she was too young to give legal consent. 

The assault that Edington pled guilty to transpired on December 27, 2018

Edington was brought to court by the Michigan Department of Correction, where he is presently serving time for another conviction.
