George Hamas Charged With Terroristic Threats

The Shiawassee ounty Sheriff's Office states that on Monday night Shiawassee County Sheriff’s Office Detective Lt. Keith Hansen, Sgt Gifford and Deputy Hruska arrested a 56 year old Washington Twp. man for making multiple threats of terrorism.

George Hamas a former Shiawassee County resident is alleged to have made multiple death threats upon former and current Shiawassee County public officials. The threats were posted on the internet and recorded on voicemail. A stolen handgun along with ammunition were seized from Hamas’ residence.

Shiawassee County was assisted at the scene by Macomb County Sheriff’s Office. Hamas was arraigned Tuesday in the 66th District Court and given a $100,000.00 bond.
