City of Owosso Government posted earlier Tuesday...Yesterday, June 29th, 2020, the City of Owosso received a report from a structural engineer hired by the owner of the Matthews building. The report recommends bracing, evaluating, and reinforcing exterior upper walls on the west portion of the building. Out of an abundance of caution, the City of Owosso is temporarily closing the section of the River Trail which passes by the Matthews building. The City of Owosso and the property owner have a court date scheduled for July 13th, 2020.
